Tectonic to teach AT London Business School

The London Business School incubator programme welcomes us to share our data-driven, customer insights process with their 2020/21 cohort

Home to one of the globe’s most prestigious MBA programmes, the London Business School Incubator programme is welcoming Tectonic onto it’s roster of delivery Supporters to help develop an elite group of entrepreneurs and startups.

The Incubator “Supporters” are selected as leaders in their dedicated fields and we sit alongside impressive businesses such as Hootsuite, the social media management tool, and Stripe, the innovative payment platform.

Tectonic have been chosen for our unique customer and market insights process, which mixes contemporary digital methods with traditional qualitative interviews. London Business School recognises that identifying the actual needs of your customers is an essential ingredient to business success.

Jane Khedair, Director of the Institute of Innovation and Entrepreneurship at LBS, said of Tectonic’s addition as an incubator Supporter:

“We’re very excited to be welcoming Tectonic this year and we are looking forward to having our cohort test their platform. Tectonic will also be adding to the programme’s workshop content with two exciting sessions on customer testing assumptions and customer validation which are all too often overlooked by entrepreneurs who are simply too close to their business to take that all-important stand back approach”

To qualify for the 2020/21 program, entrepreneurs have to be a recent graduate of LBS with a compelling business proposal. Some of the world's most imminent industries are covered by the fourteen startups in the cohort, including sustainable fintech (Yazy) and Medtech (Immunie and KREW). Healthy beverages (Days and Juno), social networking (Meet and Umwuga) and a personalised pricing platform (Nibble) further reflect the diversity and quality of the businesses competing in the programme.

Founder and CEO of Tectonic, Nana Parry, said, “Education is a really important sector for us because we love to share the knowledge we have gathered since starting up ourselves three and a half years ago. We recently finished a lecture series for UCL’s School of Management and now we can’t wait to meet the new LBS incubator cohort and guide them through our philosophy of customer acquisition.”

As an alumnus of Manchester Business School (2009) who progressed onto the Fujitsu graduate program, Nana knows the benefit of high quality education and training. Tectonic will be participating in the incubator’s introduction session with the rest of the Supporters on Tuesday 22 September.
